National Standards Seal


Each year the Community Foundation of Harford County awards scholarships to Harford County residents. All scholarship funds are given directly to institutions. No monies are given to individuals.

William A. Humbert Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship is open to instrumental music majors from Harford County, Maryland who will be seniors in an undergraduate program or graduate students in the coming school year. Applicants must be graduates of a Harford County high school or an equivalent approved home school located in Harford County. Learn more...

Edward V. Goetz Environmental Scholarship

The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors from a high school in Harford County, Maryland who plan to attend an accredited college, university or training program in environmental science. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and course-related expenses. Learn more...

Robert W. Ellenby Travel & Tourism Scholarship

The scholarship was established to foster and promote career interest in the travel industry and to support students who wish to pursue a travel-related profession. It is open to Harford County residents who have been accepted and committed to an accredited travel and tourism program, at the associate, bachelor, or graduate degree level. Learn more...

Charles John Eshinsky Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship is for Harford County high school graduates pursuing a post-secondary degree in science, technology, engineering, and/or math (STEM). The first scholarships will be awarded in 2016. Learn more about Mr. Eshinsky and his legacy.  Learn more about the scholarship.

Dr. and Mrs. Richard O. Cook Scholarship

The award recognizes Harford Technical High School students pursuing higher education in agri-business and/or veterinary science.

Maria Ortiz Memorial Scholarship

Recognizing undergraduates who are residents of Harford County and pursuing a degree in nursing, this scholarship is awarded through Harford Community College.

Colin J. Haller Scholarship  

Provides assistance to a graduating senior who has been accepted and committed to attending an accredited institution of higher education to pursue a health-related bachelor’s degree program
